Georgia Aquarium - Weekend with Friends

We recently got to take a weekend away with our friends Mark & Naomi Gignilliat and their boys William and Jackson and Rick & Chris Hubbard with their son Grant. We got a great deal on a NICE hotel in Buckhead...the Hotel Intercontinental. Our William was a BIG fan of the chocolates placed on your pillow each night. We went to Maggiano's for dinner and then to the Aquarium on Saturday. We ended our trip with a shopping trip at IKEA and cart races in their parking garage after closing. I think that this part was the most fun that the guys had on the trip! All in all it was a wonderful time spent catching up with our friends.

Pirate Birthday - Cousin Jack turns 5!

Arrggghhhh me hearties! I can't tell you how many times we heard that one yesterday as all the young pirates gathered for Jackson's 5th birthday party. This party was complete with pirate swords, treasure hunt, and the biggest pirate ship cake we've ever seen.

First Snow of the Year!

Wil's dream of making a snow angel in his backyard came true this morning! He couldn't get his coat and gloves on fast enough. John loved it just as much but was a little afraid of the sled. But then, who needs a sled? He had more fun just rolling down the hill in the snow. Of course this will all be gone by 10:00 tomorrow morning...so we're savoring our little glimpse of winter while we have it.

Christmas in South Carolina

John peering out his Thomas the Train tent window. Wil's favorite gift...a scooter! John's favorite gift...a piano! We made our first annual train cake for the boys. The coveted car was the engine with the rock candy smoke stack.

Montana - Kid's Museum

Montana

We had the joy of spending 10 days in early December out in Great Falls, MT. All of Cory's family live there. That's Papa, Grandma and 2 brothers with their families makes a total of 8 cousins. That equals BIG fun for Wil & John. We crammed a lot in to our time there. A trip to the children's museum, several trips to the Gibson Park duck pond to feed the ducks, a trip to The Big Sag or The "Big Sack" as Wil calls it, a visit to a farm to see the Highland Cows...this was one of Wil's highlights because he'd never seen cows with curly hair before, and lots of reading with Papa and coloring with Grandma. Our family graciously celebrated Christmas two weeks early just for us.
